Reflection
Observation
Designing a personal CV page with HTML and CSS demonstrated the importance of organizing information logically and creating an intuitive user interface. Observing how different sections, like personal details, education, and skills, integrate into a cohesive layout highlighted the role of structure and clarity in effective web design.
Experiences
This project gave me hands-on experience with HTML for building the framework and CSS for visual styling. Adding elements such as contact details, profile pictures, and social media links allowed me to experiment with both functional and creative aspects of design. Challenges, like maintaining visual consistency and achieving proper alignment, taught me the value of detail-oriented work in producing a professional result.
Findings
I realized that balance is a cornerstone of good web design—balancing simplicity with creativity, and aesthetics with usability. Proper organization of resources, such as HTML, CSS files, and images, is essential for efficiency. Additionally, seemingly small choices, like consistent font usage and strategic spacing, can greatly enhance the visual appeal and professionalism of the page.
Conclusion
This exercise was a valuable introduction to the technical and creative aspects of web design. It not only strengthened my skills in HTML and CSS but also deepened my understanding of presenting information effectively in a digital medium. The experience reinforced the importance of thoughtful design in personal branding and prepared me for future web development projects.
