Design Exploration
Working on this project deepened my understanding of brand storytelling through motion design. By choosing the red rose and YSL lipstick as visual metaphors, I learned how iconic imagery can evoke emotional and aesthetic responses aligned with a brand’s identity.
Moodboard & Storyboard Development
The moodboard helped me define the visual tone—juxtaposing luxurious materials, bold color palettes, and dramatic lighting. The storyboard then guided the sequential flow, where every frame aimed to build anticipation and deliver visual elegance.
Animatics & Audio Integration
Creating the animatics taught me the importance of timing and rhythm in enhancing mood. I explored different audio samples, realizing that music or ambient sounds significantly influence how bold or refined a sequence feels.
Challenges & Learning
The most challenging part was achieving the right tempo—balancing drama with sophistication. I experimented with motion speed, transitions, and sound design to match YSL’s aesthetic. This process made me more aware of how every element—visual, audio, and timing—must work in harmony.
