Minimalism and modernity are my important considerations in this design. I hope to convey clear visual information through concise graphics and clear typesetting, while leaving enough space for the audience to perceive the mobility and openness of the work. This design method not only shows my thinking about order and chaos, but also expresses my understanding of future design trends - looking for simplicity in complexity and finding dynamics in static.

This poster design tries to tell a story about balance and change through visual elements, expressing the flow of inspiration and continuous evolution in the design process.

Task 3FINAL Submission

I named my font Aaron, because it was also my English name, and then I put it everywhere from fontlab8 and installed it on the computer for follow-up testing and font demonstration.

4. Five font presentations 1024px by 1024px each

The font presentation is inspired by objects in architecture, industrial design and daily life. Through abstract visual symbols, art and design are integrated into daily life, giving the font more emotional expression and artistic atmosphere.

The design integrates experimental innovation concepts, breaks the limitations of traditional fonts, combines artistry and functionality, presents a unique visual language, and conveys modern and future design attitudes.

The copy used in the poster:

1.   Design is Thinking Made Visual

2. Modernism: Form Follows Function

3.  Break Boundaries, Redefine Visual Language

4.  The Beauty of Geometry, The Power of Minimalism

5Design Without Limits, Creativity Without Borders

5. Five font applications 1024px by 1024px each.

The left and right symmetrical setting is adopted in the record, and then the letter K is used for mirroring

In the design of the bag, I embedded the geometry in the font presentation into the bag as a logo, as a colourful highlight and as an impact point of the visual centre.

The design process of the pillow is actually quite confusing. In the end, I plan to try the following form of design.

Billboards also use the combined graphics of font presentation as elements to enrich the picture.

Because it is a design concept that conforms to the specific simple and modern geometry, the geometric figures of the font demonstration are integrated into the advertisement to enrich the picture and highlight the design concept of the font.

Reflections

Experience:
This semester, I successfully completed the design of my own font—a challenging yet incredibly rewarding journey. The process pushed me to explore fonts in everyday objects and sparked a deeper interest in typography. Compared to my first semester, my understanding of typesetting has grown significantly. I’ve developed a stronger grasp of how to effectively use fonts, transforming abstract ideas into tangible, functional designs. This hands-on experience has deepened my connection to the art of typography.

Observations:
Through this journey, I noticed that creating a cohesive font requires a high level of precision and attention to detail. Every letter needs to harmonize with the rest, from the width and height of strokes to the spacing between characters. Designing my font taught me the importance of these subtleties and their impact on visual harmony. Applying the font to products added another layer of discovery, making typography not just a skill but an enjoyable art form. It was gratifying to see my creations come to life, enriching both the design and my own creative process.

Findings:
Typography revealed itself as much more than arranging letters—it’s a blend of visual storytelling and functional design. This semester, I learned about various systems, layering techniques, the importance of contrast in layouts, and even the role of color in enhancing the overall aesthetic. Principles like simplicity, consistency, and readability were emphasized, which helped me refine my approach. Beyond aesthetics, I realized typography’s crucial role in effective communication and user experience. This semester has shown me that typography is a captivating combination of logic and creativity, and I am eager to further explore its possibilities.
