Reflection
This 360° video shooting experience is a new challenge and a valuable learning opportunity for me. As an actor, especially in the process of playing a ghost role, I not only have to learn how to accurately control body language, but also how to convey emotions through subtle movements and rhythm without the help of close-ups or editing.
First of all, the 360° video gives me a very different performance environment. In traditional shooting, the lens usually only focuses on one direction, and our performance can use the switching and close-up of the lens to strengthen the emotion. But in the 360° video, the lens records every detail around, which means that I must always stay in the character state and ensure that my every move can be seen from any angle. I can't rely on the director's "instructions" or the guidance of the camera, which puts forward higher requirements for my acting skills. I need to always remind myself that every detail may be captured, and any negligence may break the audience's immersion.
Secondly, I also made a lot of new discoveries in the interaction with Guan Yu. Guan Yu plays the protagonist, and his every emotional change and detailed performance directly affect the establishment of the whole atmosphere. During our play, his every action and every change in his eyes made me feel the real change of the character's mood. As a ghost character, my task is to improve the fear and tension of Guan Yu's character through body language and subtle performance, and Guan Yu's precise acting skills also provide rich rivalry for my performance, which makes the whole story more compact and tense.
The importance of teamwork
This shooting made me deeply realize the importance of teamwork. The careful cooperation of everyone - from directors to photographers, sound artists, makeup artists, and even venue staff - has laid the foundation for the final film. Especially in 360° shooting, each member needs to maintain a high degree of concentration and coordination within the panoramic range of the lens. For example, the placement of the camera, the position of the actor, the placement of the props, etc., any small mistake may affect the effect of the whole picture. Without the close cooperation of the team, the realism and tension of the film cannot be effectively conveyed to the audience.
Personal growth and promotion
This experience not only trained me in my skills and performance, but also gave me a deeper understanding of performing arts. In the 360° video, the audience can freely observe every detail in a complete space, which makes me realize that the performance is not only the moment of facing the camera, but also our interaction with the surrounding environment. I learned how to move in space, making every small action more meaningful and echoing the atmosphere of the whole scene.
Through this shooting, I also realized that the performance of ghost characters is not only to create a sense of horror, but also to create a sense of suspense and mystery through delicate emotions and movements. Every time it appears and disappears, a silent sense of oppression should be maintained, which makes the audience feel nervous inadvertently.
The direction of improvement in the future
If I have the opportunity to shoot similar works again, I will pay more attention to the control of details. For example, in the interaction with the actor, I will pay more attention to the psychological changes of the character and express emotions through small body language, rather than just relying on the external environment to guide emotions. In addition, I will also make more attempts on the rhythm of the action and the layout of the scene, especially in the 360° space. How to use the environment to guide the attention of the audience is a skill worth further exploration.
In general, this shooting not only deeply let me deeply experience the unique charm of 360° video, but also improved my sensitivity and creativity in the performance. This new form makes me full of expectations for my future acting career, looking forward to challenging myself in more projects and exploring different performance methods.
