Reflection

Experience:

After studying for an entire semester, I found this course to be incredibly engaging and rewarding. I have acquired various skills throughout the course, and the entire filming process was fascinating. This course involved numerous group activities, and I truly valued the collaborative aspect of working with my peers. The clear division of tasks among group members greatly contributed to the efficiency and quality of our production process.

This was also my first experience as an actor, requiring me to memorize lines and deeply understand the emotions conveyed by characters in film and television. However, I found the most challenging aspect to be managing lighting. We often had to reshoot scenes due to lighting issues, but the determination and persistence of my group members were inspiring. The team’s positive and collaborative learning environment made the process enjoyable.

What I appreciated most was the freedom to choose a topic of personal interest for the final project. This not only made the assignment more enjoyable but also laid a strong foundation for my future studies in animation.

Observation:
During the process of creating stop-motion animation, I realized the importance of thorough planning. Jumping into production without a clear plan can lead to unnecessary complications. Lighting played a crucial role in shaping the scenes. While post-production software like Premiere Pro can adjust color tones, inadequate lighting during shooting still leaves noticeable imperfections.

I faced many challenges while shooting stop-motion animation, including the need to reshoot multiple times. Despite these hurdles, seeing the final result was incredibly gratifying. The knowledge and techniques I’ve gained this semester have equipped me to prepare better for future animation projects.
